About

A deliberate model, stated openly

Cloudthunder is one principal architect who signs every verdict, an elastic network of senior experts, and delivery compressed by AI. That is not a limitation we hide; it is the design.

The story, in one paragraph

Twenty-one years of engineering, from hands-on code in 2005 to principal cloud architecture — including years inside the engineering of top UK e-commerce brands and the delivery organization of a 3,000-engineer digital services group, running solution design, hiring and technical leadership. Cloudthunder is that experience, restructured: instead of renting one senior person to one employer, the same judgement now serves the companies that need a verdict more than they need a headcount.

How the model works

The capacity of a 70-person firm, and the math behind the claim

Factor 1

One architect, every verdict

Every engagement is designed, reviewed and signed by the same principal architect. In a traditional firm, that consistency costs you a partner's rate for a junior's attention. Here it is structural: nothing ships unsigned.

Factor 2

An elastic network of seniors

Specialists engage per project from a vetted network — security, data, Kubernetes, domain experts — pre-committed on availability before we promise dates. No bench means no bench costs, and no pressure to sell you whoever happens to be free.

Factor 3

AI-compressed delivery

The work a 70-person firm staffs with pyramids — research, drafting, analysis, boilerplate — runs here through AI tooling under senior review. The judgement stays human; the throughput no longer requires the pyramid.

A traditional consultancy delivers a partner's judgement through layers of leverage: juniors bill the hours, the partner signs the deck. This model deletes the layers and keeps the signature. That is the entire trick — and it is why the claim appears on this page, where the math is, and nowhere else on the site.

The practice

Built around one signature, staffed by a network

Cloudthunder is a European technology consultancy and managed sovereign cloud provider. At its core sits a principal-architecture practice with 21 years in production systems — solution design and technical leadership for e-commerce, media and SaaS platforms across Europe, certified at architect, operations and developer level on the major cloud, with team-building practice from a 3,000-engineer organization.

Around that core operates a vetted network of senior specialists — security, data, Kubernetes, domain experts — engaged per project and pre-committed on availability before we promise dates. The structure is the product: senior judgement without the pyramid of juniors that usually pays for it.

The policy that makes verdicts possible

We never audit a vendor we work with

Independence is not a value statement; it is a rule with consequences. If a delivery partner of ours appears in your evaluation, we decline the audit and tell you why. The rule costs us engagements every year, which is exactly what makes the ones we accept worth paying for.
